Hi my name is Jacqueline, Welcome to my website and congratulations for taking action and choosing to change your lifestyle.
I thank you for considering my service as an investment towards your future and it will be an honour to join you on your journey towards a healthy life, whether it be a lifestyle problem or personal problem.
I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist and Counsellor; I also have a lot of life experience through work on hospital wards.
I have also worked in a women’s refuge on a voluntary basis and currently donate my services to a Counselling advice service in Preston once a week.
I am a wife, a mother of one and grandmother to four; I am a sister, a daughter and a very good friend to all my wonderful friends.
Over my 52 years I have had a lot of varied experiences and these experiences have made me the person that I am today.
I have a great success rate, I find that the client really needs to want to make changes to their life for the treatment to work, I am committed to offering you cost effective, innovative techniques to guide you to your goals that you may have, be assured that I can offer a confidential service and will be able to assist you towards your goal.
I trained as a Counselor and qualified in 2012 with an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Manchester University and I am a member of the National Counselling Society and follow the BACP guidelines and have practiced as a Counselor for five years.
I am a Person Centered Counselor. The Person Centered Approach comes from Carl Rogers; it works on the therapist to build a non-judgmental and empathic relationship with the client.
I do have regular Supervision with another Counselor who works in a Supervisory role, this is required by our governing body the National Counselling Society and the BACP and ensures that I work safely. I work voluntary at a Counselling Service in Preston once a week and my clients are varied.
I work from home where I have my own practice, I also have an enhanced certificate for DBS and will show at your request, and all my certificates are on display.
I first qualified as a Hypnotherapist in 2009 at Diploma level at Preston College, I am also a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, and you will find me on their web site. I have practiced as a Hypnotherapist for a number of years now. I do also find that Hypnotherapy can work alongside Counselling.
Hypnotherapy can be used for a lot of issues, the list below is not exhaustive please ask if there is something that is not on the list:
Anger Management, Anxiety, Confidence, Depression, Fear of Flying, Fear of Needles, Fear of Public Speaking, Fear of Spiders/Birds, Gastric Band Hypnotherapy, Pain Management, Weight Loss, Nail Biting Habit, Stop Smoking, Relaxation, phobias, smoking cessation, weight loss, depression, habits, fears and any number of issues
I once consulted with a lady who said that she really wanted to give up smoking and as we got a little further into the consultation it appeared that it was her husband who wanted her to give up smoking but she really enjoyed it, she was giving it up for him.
I advised that if she really wanted to give it up for whatever reason then it would work but if she was giving it up and did not really want to, then it would not work, I suggested that she give it some thought and get back to me. The lady called me and said that she has spoken to her husband and said that she was not yet ready to give it up.
It is a safe confidential place where you can discuss your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable, it allows you to speak to someone who is trained to listen attentively and to help you to improve things.
It helps with personal progress but you may feel worse before you feel better as you may talk about painful feelings or difficult decisions but therapy should enable you to feel better in the long term. If you do feel as if things are feeling worse than speak about it so that your therapist can ensure that you get the best out of your sessions. Usually it will take a few sessions before you start to feel the benefit of the therapy, it will not work straight away, and only on rare occasions will one or two sessions be enough.
Counselling can be use for people with many different issues: Stress, Anger Management, Depression, Rape Crisis, Abortion and many more issues, please call to discuss as there are too many to list.
To make changes to your life, you really do have to WANT to do it, and when you do make that commitment then contact me...
